Amnesty International release PEACE, the first music atlas in the Net

Welcome to PEACE, the first music atlas in the net.

PEACE, a unique initiative co-produced by Buffetlibre and Amnesty International Catalunya, is finally available, including more than 180 exclusive and unreleased songs by artists from more than 50 countries. The compilation is digitally available worldwide here ( http://www.buffetlibredjs.net/peace.html ) and can be downloaded after making a donation to Amnesty International Catalunya. The collected money will be used for AI’s investigation and action campaigns aimed at preventing cases of Human Rights abuses around the world.

Among the 182 artists participating in this project there are acclaimed musicians and exciting new talents from countries and territories such us USA, England, France, Spain, China, Mali, Japan, Congo, Senegal, Venezuela, Cuba, Israel, Palestine, New Zealand, Tibet, Turkey or Thailand, to name only a few.

All the songs included in PEACE are available for streaming at http://www.buffetlibredjs.net/peace.html as well as information on all artists participating in the project. The full compilation, downloadable through a donation to Amnesty International Catalunya, includes all the songs in 320Kbps mp3 format.

이현준(EE) Artist Works @ Platoon

오늘 이현준(EE)가 Platoon의 Studio에 입주를 기념하여 기존 작품과 자기의 생각들을 Platoon에 설명해주는 기회를 가졌다. 평소 슬로우템포를 즐겼던 현준이지만 오늘따라 바쁘게 움직였다.

Platoon에는 우연치 않게 많은 친구들이 방문했다.윤협이는 오늘 플래툰의 스폰서 부스 아트웍을 담당하여 설치 작업을 감독하러 왔다. 음주를 안할때 보다 음주를 할때가 훨씬 즐거운 표정의 윤협이다. 또한 곧 결혼을 앞둔 우리들의 친구 Magazine King도 방문해 주었다.  오늘은 친일파 수염을 하고 당당하게 나타났다.





슬슬 다들 모였으니 Artist Works가 시작되었다. 둘이 있거나 극소수의 사람들이 있으면 얘기를 잘하는 현준이가 여러 사람들 앞에서 프리젠테이션을 하려니 힘들어하는듯 느껴졌다. 점점 사람들은 릴렉스해졌지만 그럴때마다 뮤직비디오로 감동을 주었다. 정말 많은 준비를 했다.









마지막으로 오늘의 하일라이트 퍼포먼스를 보여줬다. 마지막 퍼포먼스를 보면서 역시 EE는 최고의 퍼포먼스를 하는구나~ 라는걸 절실하게 느끼는 순간이였다. 마지막 사진처럼 말이다. 오늘 여러가치 고민끝에 준비한 현준이한테 진심으로 찬사의 박수를 보낸다. 화이팅!

PEACE, the music atlas project by Buffetlibre & Amnesty International

EE, amongst many others artists from over 50 countries, join the new project by Barcelona djs Buffetlibre.
All proceeds from the sale of the compilation will go to Amnesty International's humanitarian aid projects in areas of conflict.

One month before the official launch of the PEACE compilation, Buffetlibre announce the latest additions to this new initiative, co-produced by Amnesty International, that will include new exclusive songs by musicians from over 50 countries, building the first musical atlas in the net. PEACE will be released on March 1, 2010, given for free to all those who, through the official PEACE website, make a minimum donation of € 2 in favor of the NGO Amnesty International. All benefits will go to Amnesty International's humanitarian aid projects in areas of conflict.

To the long list of previously announced participants, featuring  Ryuichi Sakamoto, Marc Almond and EE, the ensemble of artists who are part of PEACE is completed with artists such as Micah P Hinson (USA), Mogwai (UK), Stereo Total (Germany), The Pet Conspiracy (China), The Hidden Cameras (Canada),Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (USA), Keren Ann (Israel), Jori Hulkkonen (Finland), Martha Galarraga (Cuba), Kiala (Congo), Heiddy Happy (Switzerland) in collaboration with Paul Niehaus from Calexico, and Titi Robin (France). With these additions, 56 countries are represented in the compilation, by some of its best artists.



Buffetlibre is glad to offer PEACE's first single as free-download mp3. The choosen song is "Mike", written and composed by Ivri Lider, one of Israel's most successful singer/songwriters. Ivri Lider's catalog is remarkable both for its sonic diversity and consistent popularity. Since his debut album in 1997, the multi-instrumentalist has seen each of his six albums achieve gold or platinum status and Lider taking home Male Singer of the Year. Over the past decade, he has explored numerous genres ranging from acoustic ballads and pop to rock and electronic music. He is currently working with internationally acclaimed producer Andy Green (Keane) on his next album.

EE Interview with MONOCLE Magazine

DFSB 버니형이 주선해 주신 영국 MONOCLE Magazine 인터뷰에 다녀왔다. 오늘의 인터뷰 주인공은 스타일리스트 토탈아트퍼모먼스팀 EE(이윤정+이현준). Tyler Brule (WALLPAPER Magaizne의 파운더)가 창간한  정치, 경제, 패션, 디자인을 다루는 매거진으로서 세계적으로 정말 Hot한 매거진이 아닐 수 없다.



마침 인터뷰를 진행한 Kunsthalle(논현동)는 EE의 설치 미술 작가 이현준(E)군이 레지던트 아티스트로서 참가 하고 있는 복합문화공간으로서 오는 2월22일 열린 대담으로 작가 본인과 작품에 대한 소개가 있을 예정이다.



EE에 대한 무한한 관심과 인터뷰를 진행해준 MONOCLE Magazine의 Robert와 Liv에게 감사를 표하며 인터뷰를 주선해준 DFSB의 버니형에게 무한한 감사를!



마침 kunthalle 에서는 얼마전 Miller Fresh M에서 우승한 East Collective의 DJ UNJIN이 맥주와 예거마에스터를 즐기며 DJing을 하고 있었다. EE의 첫 싱글 타이틀 Curiosity Kills를 프로듀싱한 그와 오랜만에 나눈 한국의 클럽컬쳐와 앞으로 한국 DJ들이 나아가야할 방향에 대한 얘깃거리들은 맛있는 안주가 되었다는!
